Earth chakras are a spiritual or esoteric belief system that associates specific energy centers, similar to the chakras in the human body, with certain locations on the Earth’s surface. The chakra system is traceable to one of the most authoritative Hindu texts, the Vedas, from the second millennium BCE, and is present in Tantric Buddhism as well. Whenever a belief system has survived for that long, I have to laugh when people label it as ‘new age’ or pseudoscience.
